Somerset Pool Information
- The Somerset Pool observes the same seasonal schedule as the City of Ames pools and is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
- You must be a member to use the clubhouse and pool. The pool area is monitored by security cameras and a code transaction log to ensure compliance. Each member is allowed two guests per visit.
- The pool hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days per week, weather permitting.
- The pool and pool area cannot be reserved for private gatherings.
- There is no lifeguard on duty, so please plan accordingly. Use of the pool is at your own risk. In the event of a pool emergency, please call 911.
- If it is raining, the pool will be closed. If it is lightening, the pool will be closed. If it is 65 degrees or colder, the pool will be closed. Re-opening will be up to the discretion of management and will be in compliance with the Iowa Department of Public Health pool safety guidelines.
- No alcohol is allowed in the pool area. Non-compliance will result in ejection.
- No Smoking is allowed on the pool deck or clubhouse grounds.
- Children under 14 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.
- Music is allowed, but is to be set at a volume that does not disturb others. Please be considerate to those around you.
- The pool is maintained by a Certified Pool Operator who does chemical checks of the pool water several times per day. The pool will be closed any time the CPO deems it necessary.
- The temperature of the water will not be dictated by members.
